SWinG partners need you: call for mentors and mentees

For the first time, a collaborative partnership – led by Fédération Française du Sport d’Entreprise – FFSE – unites different intersectorial partiers to develop a common strategy to support women who aspire to be leaders in sport, reaching higher positions in the government of sport. Thanks to this three-year project, partners will work together to develop nine intellectual products and provide a concept to reduce the gender gap.

The SWinG concept relies primarily on the potential for mentoring and a support network of emerging women leaders with similar ideas or aspirations. That is why, partners are launching call for participants – both for mentor and for mentees – inviting everyone to be part of the SWinG mentorship programme.

The SWinG mentoring scheme has been designed as a mid-term transformative change programme. With this scheme, partners would like to encourage more women to step up by providing them the support and network they need and deserve.

If you would be interested or know someone who might be, this is your chance to step up and be part of the adventure.

The contact point from Lazio side is EMCA Project Manager Gabriella Bascelli (gabriella.bascelli@multisportclubs.eu).

It is a honor for the project coordinator HASK Mladost and for all the other Multisport Clubs (plus the European Platform for Sport Innovation) involved in the Project. Good practice stories are indeed finalized projects that have distinguished themselves by their impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and/or creative approach and can be a source of inspiration for others.

HASK Mladost yesterday showed the results of the Project in a press conference in Zagreb, that was a good opportunity to talk about the Booklet included in EMCA Studia and about the present and future Projects of the Club.

New targets, ambitions and projects: EMCA General Assembly in Brussels

The aim of the meeting was to summarize activities and projects done in the last year and programme together next steps towards the 2020 Erasmus+ Sport Call for Proposals. The meeting represented also an important opportunity to enlarge our network, with acceptance of four new members, that share with EMCA a sensibility towards Multisport: Chievo Verona and Polisportiva Partenope from Italy, Fecht Club Graz from Austria and MSG Panserraikos Club from Greece.

Then, the dialogue among clubs went through different topics, including the creation of a specific group of Multisport representatives created to guide EMCA through our increasing growing process.

After this intense session, partners analysed 2019 not successful project applications, aiming to represent them in this Erasmus+ Cal for Proposals. Several new ideas were also presented by many Clubs, who started to shape their collaborative partnerships for turning them into our next Multisport projects.

Brussels, kick-off Meeting for Sport&Diabetes Project

The goals would be achieved by producing a practical publication concentrated on people who already have diabetes and their inclusion in sport both through clubs and school and spreading awareness about the link of physical activity and easier diabetes regulation using the large networks of the partners in this project.

The coordinator TSV Bayer Leverkusen and the partners IDF Europe (International Diabetes Federation Europe region), HAŠK Mladost (Croatia), Olympiakos (Greece), Lazio Volley (Italy) and Wiener Sport Club (Austria) will tackle the problems of persons with diabetes when trying to participate in sport. The project is a part of Erasmus+ Sport action and is co-founded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

In the next 30 months, we will encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport for kids and young adults with type 1 Diabetes. Main objective is to enable children to do sport by educating and raising awareness of the stakeholders about diabetes and doing sport.

The goals of the project would be to address the fact that persons with diabetes type 1 can participate in sports just as any other person who does not have diabetes. To do all of that it will be important to educate stakeholders on how to handle the risk concerning diabetes and reduce fears that lead to the exclusion of children with diabetes.
