Circolo Canottieri Lazio is partner of SWinG Project (Support Women in achieving their Goal), focused on Gender Equality opportunities in the field of sport.

Last 12th July, at the Palazzo delle Federazioni in Rome, two of our EMCA projects were presented by our Project Manager Gabriella Bascelli. 

On the 4^th of June 2019, the Field Hockey for Women team went to meet the scholars of the I.C. Carducci School. S.S. Lazio Hockey, thanks to the project FHfW, had earlier on in the year presented the project to the school and returned numerous times to teach the young scholars that field hockey is also a sport that can be played by girls. The President of Lazio Hockey, Roberto Brocco and Project Manager, Gabriella Bascelli have spent many hours with the students teaching them how to play hockey.

The European Week of Sport 2019 campaign was launched by the EU Commission last 23rd June. As in past years, the #BeActive Awards competition is a central element of the Week.
