“Sport & Support” was a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union that lasted 18 months, from 2015 to 2016.
It was a so-called “Collaborative Partnership”, established during the past two years by twelve European Multisport Clubs, with Società Sportiva Lazio in the front raw. These clubs are all part of the European Multisport Clubs Association and, together with CONI Servizi and FESI (Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industries), in 2014 wrote down their collaboration into this specific project.
The idea of “Sport & Support” was to veichle Multisport Clubs’ specific know-how into a pan-European project that could promote the Olympic Spirit among their fans. Through specific sport events and meetings in schools, the aim was to promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity through increased participation in sport for all.
The project was declared eligible by EACEA the 7th December 2014. This decision made Multisport Clubs proud of their cooperation, but at the same time it was the beginning of something new, something that was going to be organised together by all the members who applied for Erasmus+ Sport.
In 11th-12th May 2015, representatives of 12 Multisport Clubs (Lazio, Racing Club de France, Levski Sofia, Hask Mladost, Ferencvaros, Olimpiacos, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Buducnost Podgorica, Everton, Aalborg, APOEL Nicosia e Crvena Zvezda), and the representatives of FESI and CONI Servizi, who participate in “Sport&Support”, met again in Rome.
