EMCA General Assembly: new ideas for future projects

Multisport Clubs met today in Brussels for the General Assembly of the network.

In the beautiful atmosphere of the Municipality of the City, the Secretary General Federico Eichberg and EMCA partners hosted the meeting with enthusiasm, fixing the milestones of these new months of cooperative work.

The meeting saw also the presence of representatives from the EU Commission. In the beginning of the day, Matteo Zacchetti spent good words for EMCA. “Multisport Clubs are part of the European Construction. We are looking forward to work with you and we are happy to have you in so many Erasmus+ Projects”.

After initial greetings and points by Malte Kalsbach and Vanina Milanova, Federico Eichberg drafted the guidelines for the months ahead. “Our projects exist because we are changing someone’s life. Our projects can make the difference – he said – and big projects need big commitment. Until now, we realised eight projects, and this year we will be realising eleven. This year, for the first time, we are realising a non Erasmus+ Project, “Multisport Academy”, that will be a new challenge for us.

During the Assembly, the new member, Bohemians Prague, was presented, and Foundation Barcelona attended as guest of our Association, as an example of a great reality promoting projects for social inclusion.

Then it was the turn of Christina Tsiligkiri and George Totomis, who described the You’reHope Project realised by Olympiacos and opened the discussion about the brand new eleven projects who started last 1stJanuary 2019 and represent our focuses for this year.

After this summary, Malte Kalsbach opened the way talking about new possible projects to be presented: from one hand, retrying past projects who did not receive the European co-funding, and from the other hand, new ideas to build new actions. Social inclusion, health, integrity, active aging, fight against depression are just few of the topics touched during this brainstorming session among our members, that gave birth to very interested ideas to be developed in future. And we are looking forward to realise them!
