8th January 2018: Five years of the European Multisport Club Association

Five years. A milestone that gives us honour, but also responsibility.

It was the 8th January 2013 when Federico Eichberg, EMCA founder, and the representatives of the original six Multisport Clubs met in Brussels to create the European Multisport Club Association. At the Institute of the Italian Culture in Brussels, S.S. Lazio, Ferencvaros, Panionios, Olympiacos, Racing Club de France and Sporting Clube de Portugal signed the so-called “Multisport Declaration”.

From that moment, a lot of time has passed: the presence of EMCA at the EU Sport Forum became soon a must and the establishment of a Multisport Network brought us to the creation of our first European Projects: Sport&Support in 2014 opened the curtain to our new Multisport Approach, and this success is being renewed by its legacy.

Sport MyWAY, Welcome, GreenPlay, Whistle, Multisport Coaches Across Europe are just some of the Projects where our Clubs are involved, all in the name of the #BeActive spirit. Buti it is not all, since – from 5 years – our family is increasing day by day, with new friends and colleagues from all around Europe sharing with us their experiences. This is our strenght. And this is why today we have one more reason to celebrate this day. For all of them: happy Birthday, EMCA!
