Crossport: Fondazione S.S. Lazio 1900 committed to the integration of refugees through sport

The dramatic numbers of migratory flows of refugee women and men seeking protection from wars and persecutions indicate more than ever the need for institutions and civil society to adopt innovative measures for their integration into our communities.

People, human beings who flee from wars, from unspeakable suffering and who often find themselves disoriented and feel abandoned to loneliness, can find in sport an incredible ally useful for creating relationships.

Co-funded by the European Commission, the Crossport (Crossing the Boundaries through Sport) project sees Fondazione S.S. Lazio 1900, ICCS Europe (International Center for Sport Security), IOTC (International Olympic Truce Committe) and Fundacion Sevilla - representative of four countries that touch the extent of these flows daily (Italy, Portugal, Greece and Spain) - in favoring social integration and acceptance of the other through the practice of sports.

The well-known actress Anna Foglietta, personally committed with her non-profit organization on this subject, has decided to be testimonial of the project with Fondazione S.S.Lazio.
